Rec Sports Champions are student employees who have consistently distinguished themselves among their peers for their outstanding effort and commitment over their tenure at OSU Rec Sports. These are staff members who create and promote attitudes, behaviors, and a work environment that contribute to a culture of well-being. They are standout leaders who foster an inclusive environment, strive to excel while also pushing others to continuously improve.

"Kylie has worked with the Rec Sports Marketing and Communications Team for the past two years as a Graphic Designer. She was the lead designer on several large campaigns spanning nearly every program area. Highlights include the FY20 Now Hiring Campaign, Fall 2020 Intramurals, Fall 2020 Group Fitness and 2021 Vertfest. While providing outstanding work, Kylie also demonstrated tremendous flexibility and resilience. Kylie was the sole graphic designer during the 2020 summer. The challenges of the pandemic strained Marketing operations. Programs and events changed weekly and there were consistent signage demands. Kylie is unflappable and did not let the unique dynamics of the pandemic overwhelm her. Instead, she calmly continued to make excellent designs in a client-focused manner. Kylie is also an exceptional team member and leader. She served on the search committee for the two additional graphic design team members and assisted with their onboarding. In addition to the above, Kylie demonstrates the following positive characteristics: Collaborative – She works well with her peers, supervisor and clients to produce high quality materials. Creative – She produces engaging materials and always has multiple solutions for design challenges. Punctual/Diligent – She balances several projects and consistently meets deadlines. Articulate – She can explain technical issues and a design vision to non-designers. Flexible – She is quick to look for other projects once she has completed the items within her purview and is happily takes on unanticipated, timely projects. Given all that Kylie has produced for Rec Sports and the positive character traits she consistently demonstrates, it is easy to unequivocally endorse Kylie as a Rec Sports Champion."
