About this badge

This badge represents the successful completion of the Project Management: Case Study Workshop course. The course is the final course of the Georgia Tech Professional Education (GTPE) Certificate, and provided participants with the opportunity to apply the principles of project management to an experiential real case study. The course focused on the knowledge, skills and tools needed to effectively manage a project in a simulated environment of challenges and covered the following:

• Applying project management processes and techniques to a project
• Developing sound techniques for planning, estimating, tracking, and controlling projects
• Setting clear project definitions and establishing a change-control process
• Identifying constraints and methods for dealing with them
• Projecting and analyzing risks, and developing mitigation plans
• Calculating and interpreting project variances
