This badge is issued to those who have successfully completed the .NET/C# Programming Basics Certificate, module 1 of the Web Developer Coding Bootcamp - .NET/C# certificate program.
The Web Developer Coding Bootcamp-.NET/C# certificate program is an intensive program designed to teach the foundations of object oriented programming techniques in the .NET/C# language with special attention to practical application in corporate environments. Students learn to be full-stack, junior-level .NET/C# web developers capable of working in both front-end and back-end technologies. The program is divided into four modules.
The .NET/C# Programming Basics module focuses on two sections: Basics and Classes & Objects.
Basics: this section teaches students how to build and run simple computer programs in Microsoft Visual Studio.
Classes & Objects: this lesson explores the fundamentals of object-oriented programming. Students learn how to create C# classes that use inheritance and polymorphism, and test code using NUnit.
WHAT IT TAKES TO EARN THIS BADGE
Prerequisites: students must be 18 years of age and have earned either a high school diploma or a General Education Development (GED) certificate or higher.
Admission Requirements: because this is a rigorous program with heavy time commitments, a four-step application process must be successfully completed to be accepted into the program. The steps are:
Submit a program application
Interview with an enrollment counselor
Complete an aptitude assessment
Successfully complete a free 6-8 week online Intro to Web Development course designed to help prepares students for the full, intensive .NET/C# curriculum.
Certificate Completion Requirements: students must successfully complete 120+ hours of instruction and demonstrate an understanding of all technical concepts taught throughout the module.
